The device consists of a series of channels that are connected via communication ports for sample flow. The channels can be individually loaded with detection reagents via portals at their ends.

The invention provides a deflectable tip guiding device, such as a catheter, that enables the operator to vary the radius of curvature of the tip of the catheter. The invention is a method and apparatus for separating a quantity of a sulfonated polar compound from other compounds in a mixture using countercurrent chromatography. The inventors have found that countercurrent chromatography techniques may be employed to separate different species of polar sulfonated compounds that have resisted isolation in preparative amounts by other chromatographic methods.

Convection-Enhanced Drug Delivery System

This application describes an apparatus and method of convection-enhanced delivery of drugs into the brain and other solid tissue structures. The method involves positioning the tip of an infusion catheter within a tissue structure and supplying an agent through the catheter while maintaining a pressure gradient from the tip of the catheter during infusion. The catheter is connected to a pump which delivers the desired drug and maintains a desired pressure gradient throughout delivery of the agent.
